Human Capital Growth is pleased to announce, Dr. Krista Uggerslev will be the commencement speaker for our 2016 Winter Graduation Ceremony to be held on January 12th, 2016. Dr. Uggerslev is the co-founder of metaBUS, an expert system designed to curate and synthesize scientific research in Human Resource Management. She is also the Applied Research Chair in Leadership and Talent at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

This unique ceremony celebrates the achievements of HR professionals from India, US, and Kyrgyzstan. These participants have demonstrated proficiency and commitment to using evidence-based talent management methods. They are spearheading HR innovation in their organizations.​


About Dr. Krista Uggerslev

Dr. Krista Uggerslev is the Applied Research Chair in Leadership and Talent. She joined NAIT in December 2011. Krista holds Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Calgary and was a tenured Associate Professor in the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba.

In her research, Krista is a co-founder of metaBUS, a project to create big data tools for locating, curating, and synthesizing more than a million research findings in the field of Human Resource Management for use by researchers and dissemination to practitioners.
Krista’s research explores demographic and economic changes in Canada and ways of addressing Canada’s talent mismatches; talent management and leadership pipelines, and the impact of recruitment practices on applicant attraction to organizations. Krista’s research has appeared and continues to appear in the world’s top academic journals in applied psychology and business, and has been presented to national and international audiences including NATO.

In her consulting work, Krista provides guest lectures on topics related to leadership, talent management, and demographic and economic changes in Canada, and has developed and validated employee selection and performance appraisal systems for private, public, and non-profit organizations.
