Build an Internal Gig Economy to Energize and Retain Talent

A study by McKinsey & Company in late 2017 found that 66 percent of top executives said retraining and upskilling their employees were urgent business priorities. According to the 2019 Deloitte Human Capital Trends Survey more than eight out of 10 global managers view learning as important or a very important issue for organizations today. However, companies are aware they aren’t keeping up with the demand for personalized, dynamic, continuous learning opportunities.

While the war for talent has always focused on acquiring the best talent, In their upcoming book, “The Inside Gig: How Sharing Untapped Talent Across Boundaries Unleashes Organizational Capacity”, Dr. Edie Goldberg and Kelley Steven-Waiss will share that the companies that will win in the marketplace will be experts at developing and deploying the skills they have already acquired inside of their company (augmented by contract employees and on-demand systems to fill specific needs), as well as, how to re-imagine others to fit major skill needs for the future.

We are excited to have them lead a webinar based on their collective experience in building an internal gig economy. You will learn creative approaches to unlocking capacity within a firm and also ways to energize and retain your workforce who may be looking elsewhere for opportunities.
This webinar will describe a bold new talent operating model that helps organizations to operate in a more agile manner. It allows your employees to bring their best selves to work while offering a platform that encourage continuous reskilling to prepare them for the changing skills required by your organization.

Topics addressed:

  1. The business case to change the way we work
  2. How to create gig work inside your company
  3. The six core principles that support the Inside Gig
  4. Case Study: HERE Technologies’ ROI
